Two separate ethernet connections running at same time, only one ethernet port

I noticed task manager shows two separate ethernet connections, both working simultaneously, but there is only one ethernet port on the desktop pc. Does anyone know why this is. Noticed it after setting up dual monitors and also setup a labtop with same microsoft account same week. So not sure what is causing this. Also may have been after latest windows 10 update a few weeks ago.

    :)

  2. ethernet ports

    Hi,
I just noticed that my mobo has 2 ethernet ports. Currently my download speed is around 15000kb/s on speedtest.net, I was just wondering if i plugged in another ethernet cable to the open ethernet port, will my download speeds double?

    ethernet ports

It requires you to have these items:
An Ethernet cable capable of 1000mbit, router capable of 1000mbit and a(n) Ethernet port capable of 1000mbit.

Your ISP wouldn't have to do with it, unless the router/modem they sent you is incapable of those connection speeds. It will increase your data connection to your modem or router, but it wouldn't really impact download speeds. Your ISP will be the one to give you your allotted DL speed.

    Ethernet connection Error

I am trying to access the internet via ethernet cable directly coming from my ISP but when I connect the cable to the ethernet port it still says ethernet cable is unplugged. but when I run ipconfig on cmd it says ethernet adapter ethernet connected and
also show ipv4 & subnet mask. However default gateway is empty. Please suggest how can I connect using the ethernet cable.

    Thanks,
