Windows 10: Two step verification code will not infill in box

Discus and support Two step verification code will not infill in box in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I receive two step verification code on cell phone just fine but when I try to enter the code on my PC the space remains blank and number won't enter...     Two step verification code will not infill in box


    I receive two step verification code on cell phone just fine but when I try to enter the code on my PC the space remains blank and number won't enter thus blocking me from accessing all accounts that require 2 step authorization. I tried typing number and "submit" even tho the code did not show up but did not work. I'm concerned there is a virus or is it possible some setting mysteriously re-set? This non acceptance of any numerical input even occurred when I tried to initiate a new password in Microsoft account. Microsoft requested I provide last four digits of my phone # to verify my ide

    I suggest you to turn off the two-step verification in the Microsoft account and check if it helps.

    Note: If two step verification is turned off, you will have to verify your identity with security codes periodically, when there might be a risk to your account security.
