  1. Two suspicous app in Task Manager, called Console Windows Host, and Windows Command Processor

In my task manager, there is two appsthey use the same amount of resources ,called Console Windows Host, and Windows Command Processor. These both draw relatively high CPU and alot of RAM. According to some soureces these processes are normal, but not with this high CPU and RAM usage. I am using Windows 10. Any advice/help pls?

    :)

  2. Too many "windows command processor" and "console window host" processes

I tried most of it (I have not connected the drive to a separate machine). Some threats were found and removed. So far there are only 2 "Console Window Host" processes and no "windows command processor" process, but
my current session is less than an hour long at the moment

  3. Too many "windows command processor" and "console window host" processes

I noticed lately that my machine (Win 10) is getting sluggish after running a while.

I often just use hibernate instead of shutting it properly down, when I work on a project. So sometimes my sessions are tens of hours. This never used to cause any problems but lately I ran in memory issues. When checking the task manager I saw that there
were literally hundreds of "windows command processor" background processses running. Each using about 1MB memory and 0% CPU. Also about the same amount of "console window host" processes in the windows processes, with similar stats (~1MB, 0%). The first time
I noticed there were a total of 3466 processes running.

Looking at the properties shows that they both appear to be legit applications (C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe and C:\Windows\System32\conhost.exe).

When I reboot all of these processes are gone, and there are about 70-90 background processes. After about 1h, it's still about the same number. But at some point the number increases, though I could not figure out when exactly yet. The next time I checked
(about 5h later with 1 hibernation), there were already 197 background processes, so about 100 of the "windows command processor".

    How can I stop this?

Is there a way to find out what exactly every single instance is doing and how (by who) it got started?

Windows 8 task manager 32 Bit?

I haven't used Windows 8 so, I don't know if this will work...

To explicitly launch 64-bit task manager, try calling it here:
    C:\Windows\System32\taskmgr.exe

    32-bit is here:
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\taskmgr.exe

Microsoft could have easily goofed and linked to the wrong one.
