Windows 10: Two US keyboards have installed themselves on to my computer and I can't get rid of them !!!

Hi, I use two keyboards English Ireland and French Canada. When I am working I slip between the two using the windows key and the spacebar. Last week this was working fine now for some reason two more keyboards are showing up as installed on my computer. I tried installing the US keyboard and then removed it which worked for one of the entries but then I restarted my computer and it reinstalled !!! and I can't even find the English united states- international keyboard to remove from my computer. Does anyone have any idea idea how I get rid of these keyboards ? Thanks

I made a clean install but still can´t wake up computer from keyboard

We need to see if an updated driver has removed the feature and if you can roll-back to the previously functioning driver or if Dell.com has a suitable updated driver.

Check the current keyboard device properties in the Device Manager. Look for a Power Management tab and a checkbox for; 'Allow this device to wake the computer'. If the Power Management tab doesn't exist, go to the next step.






Another location to check is if you have a third party driver like my MSI laptop uses a SteelSeries keyboard.
1) Check the driver date & version number.
1) Is the date recent and coincides with losing wake via the keyboard?
3) Is the rollback button available or greyed out?

Please post a screen shot like the pic below.






Regardless of what you find in these two locations, you should visit the Dell driver download site and using your Dell Service Tag #, check for bios & driver updates.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Press and hold the Windows logo key and then press the Spacebar repeatedly, you will be able to switch between the languages.

And also check how many languages installed in your system.

Ah,. Asus. I had one of those. MOBO failed in warranty period then just afterwards again. Never again.

Try checking which devices has the capability of waking your PC as I suggested:




It could be, I suppose, that you need the exact driver from your manufacturer, and protect it from being updated.

Try your manufacturer's driver download page and compare the driver version you have with the one there.
