This kind of problem wasn't on RS1. Could you help me to get one drive? Thanks in advance.

    :)

    Windows backup program

I think you misunderstood what I was asking or I misunderstood your reply. I think you answered about having two target drives, my question is about two source drives and one target drive.

    I have two questions/situations.

    1. If I have a computer with an internal drive, mapped to "C" and I have an external drive connected to the computer via USB that is mapped to "D" that are both used to store documents, pictures, etc. Now I want to backup both drives to another drive also
connected by USB and mapped to "E" Can this be done with File History?

    2. A similar situation to question 1 above. If the two drives to be backed up are located in my computer and the target for the backup is external and connected by USB, can this be done with File History? An example would be one of the newer laptops with
dual drive - an SSD and a HHD.

Note: The target for the backup is always the same drive. The two drives are the source drives with material that needs to be backed up.

    Windows 10 boot problems

    Just to close this out...

The problem turns out to be a conflict with two USB devices connected to my ASUS. I had two Seagate external drives connected via the USB ports (of which there are many on this particular ASUS Essentio CM6870). I unplugged one of the drives and the problem
went away entirely. I'm not sure, but the Seagate Dashboard application may have been confused by having to two drives to deal with, or it may have been too many USB ports active. Whatever. The machine and Windows 10 are now fine.

What does Disk Management show? Does this particular USB have two partitions? Windows 10 Creators Update is the first edition of Windows capable of using all partitions on a flash drive, previously only the first partition could be accessed.

    Disk Management shows:

May I make one partition in this situation or better leave it?

P.s. Thanks for the information about capability of using all partitions by Win10 CU.

17MB really is not of much use now-a-days considering a 1 minute YouTube video usually is between 2.5 and 4 MB in size. If the drive is otherwise working I'd leave it as is.

Your Disk 3 has a single bootable partition J: (translation: Healthy (active, primary partition) ) while the 17MB at the end is show as Unallocated. You could add this unallocated space to the existing partition, but it's very small, and as I have no idea what this bootable USB is for I think it's best to leave it as it is.

But Disk 3 only has one partition, It still doesn't explain where your K: USB drive came from. Which disk does Disk Management show as being K:? It looks like you really do have two USBs plugged in.

The J: drive is shown as Multiboot. To me that indicates that this USB flash drive was formatted with a third party program and the 17MB partition is some sort of boot partition in some file format that native Windows cannot read. If it were my flash drive, I would copy everything off of it that I wanted to keep. Run the diskpart "clean" command on it, reformat the whole thing as one FAT32 or NTFS partition.

Wow, really?!? That's cool, I did not know that!

Yup, try it for yourself. You can use Diskpart to make a few partitions on a USB *Smile

And Disk Management too! Two USB drives after connecting one :) Sorry I can't give you a Rep but I have to "spread it around" first!

Only once the USB has an MBR (most don't). Diskpart can create the MBR, after that Disk Management can be used. It's Cerebus who deserves the Rep for spotting this first....
CU supports multiple partitions on a standard USB Flash Drive
