  1. Type C port no longer sees monitors when Docking Station is plugged in

Hi, I have a HP Omen laptop, Windows 11, and a WD-19 Dell Dock Station. I've checked the compatibility and they work great. The issue is, since a few days ago, my monitors are no longer working. The dock itself works, ethernet cable, mouse and keyboard work perfectly, but not the monitors... I've plugged the doc station in my older HP Omen and Dell laptop and it works great, but not on this one.I've checked the USB drivers but all of them are up to date. I've reinstalled the Windows but no luck. I've even tried turning it off and pressed the power button for 30 seconds. Is there a problem with

  2. External monitors through both docking station and laptop ports

I recently got a new laptop through work - an HP EliteBook 840 G3. My current setup that I had been using at my desk was 3 external monitors plus my laptop screen. I had two monitors plugged in through the docking station via VGA and DisplayPort and the
third monitor I plugged into the VGA port on the laptop itself. This worked with my old laptop but with this new one it doesn't detect a monitor plugged into the laptop port when it's docked. I have tried looking through video settings with no luck. Windows
says my drivers are up to date and I've downloaded and installed the latest drivers for the docking station itself (it's the same docking station).

Would anyone have any advice for getting this setup working?

    Dual Monitors with Docking Station

    Hello-

I have a Dell laptop that i use open with 2 external monitors. 1 monitor is plugged in via HDMI directly to the laptop, the other monitor is plugged in via HDMI to my external docking station. All 3 montiors worked fine until yesterday when my IT dept got into my computer to fix an unrelated issue. Since then my docking station monitor will no longer work, but all other docking station components are working fine.

When i go into Display, all 3 monitors are detected, but the docking station monitor appears as a small screen on the Display board, yet the actual monitor itself is black. When I try to get it to connect it is No HDMI signal for device.

how do I get this docking station monitor to work again? It worked fine for months before this. I did plug this monitor into my personal laptop and it works fine so the monitor or cable is not the issue.

    Thoughts?

HDMI splitter and C docking station not working.

You don't need an HDMI splitter if you have a docking station. The splitter may only just duplicate your displays. Plug your monitors into the docking station and try. Use an adapter to go from Display port to HDMI, USB to HDMI, Thunderbolt to HDMI, USB-C to HDMI, etc. if your monitor has only HDMI in. Docking stations usually have all the ports you need.

Press Win +P to select display options.

I'm not tech savvy so I'm wondering if this has to do with the graphic or computer specs? windows 11 ?

    No. I wouldn't think so.
