Windows 10: typing 2 of the same letter and 3 second delay in backspacing to remove letters.

I stupidly added a function that does not allow me to type two of the same letters without a 3 second delay. It prevents typing more than one letter character at a time. it's driving me nuts, especially since my last name has double letters and I'm a fairly fast typer. I can't find were this function resides to delete it. Anybody know?

I have noticed since I upgraded to Windows 10 that if I need to backspace an entire word that I have to pause 2 maybe 3 seconds between punches to get it to work. This also happens when I have a double letter or number. This is on both my brand new laptop
and older desktop.

anyone???

I had this issue on Outlook only with the backspace.

The second backspace would lag for a second, making me push backspace again, deleting more characters.

No idea why this worked, but it did.

I suggest you to run Hardware and Sound troubleshooter
