Windows 10: Typing duplicate letters

Recently my laptop had been typing duplicate of buttons. This issue so far remains when I am using Microsoft To-Do List, Microsoft Sticky Notes, File Explorers, and Search. There is no issue with typing in Chrome or other app Here are what I have tried:Adjusted the keyboard repeat function in Control PanelUpdated software and systemTried both the on-screen keyboard, system keyboard, and extended keyboard but still same issue. duplicate drive letters

I have tried all the suggestions I found on the Internet and the drive letters still show. I renamed the registry entry to .old. Restarted my computer, reset the task manager. Why isn't it working or what else do I need to do to get ride of the duplicate letters?

how to remove duplicate external drive letter

Please follow these steps:

1 - Connect all external drives to your computer.

2 - Press the Windows key + X and select "Disk Management" from the menu.

3 - In the Disk Management window, locate the external drives with duplicate drive letters.

4 - Right-click on the first drive with a duplicate letter and select "Change Drive Letter and Paths".

5 - In the Change Drive Letter and Paths window, select the drive letter that you want to remove and click "Remove".

6 - Click "Yes" to confirm that you want to remove the drive letter.

7 - Repeat steps 4-6 for all other drives with duplicate letters.

8 - Once you have removed all the duplicate drive letters, you can assign a new drive letter to the affected external drives by right-clicking on them and selecting "Change Drive Letter and Paths" again.
