  1. Typing "go" in command terminal gives system error 53

I already posted this in r/techsupport but with no answers yet. If crossposting is against the rules please notify me and I will remove this post (couldn't find anything related in the rules, but maybe I'm blind)

So yesterday I tried to install the Go compiler on windows 10 and everything worked fine. But when trying to use it with the "go" command, it didn't work, and I got a system error 53 saying "Network path not found".

Well that was odd, because runnning the go command in the same directory the .exe is in worked completely fine, so I checked and the PATH enviroment variable was correctly set to the .exe's directory.

Then I uninstalled the Go compiler again and noticed that simply typing "go" with or without the Go compiler installed gives me said error. That is very odd, as I'm not aware of any windows command called "go", and also couldn't find anything online. Maybe I have another program installed using the "go" command as well? If so I'm unaware of it and also couldn't find it anywhere in the PATH variable.

Anyone knows how to fix it or has the same problem? It completely prevents me from using the Go compiler, which I really want to do, so any help is apreciated.

    Edit:

    I'm running the Windows 10 Home 2004 version, with the OS-Build 19041.867

    ERROR 53 message

    Hello,

Run-time Error 53 indicates that there is a missing Windows component. A program you're trying to use will display that error message if the program is attempting to use a dynamic link library, or DLL, file that has been deleted or was never installed properly.

We would like to know some information:

    • Have you done any changes on your computer prior to the issue?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

For initial troubleshooting steps, we suggest that you try to run
    System File Checker
. It will scan for corrupted files and restore it.

If that didn't work, we suggest that you try to uninstall and reinstall the app.

Hope it helps. Let us know how it goes.
