Windows 10: Typing not showing up in microsoft teams occasionally, Win 10

Hi I have seen this happen occasionally now, probably 3 times in the past few months.

It starts happening after a reboot.

Symptoms are that typing doesn't display on screen in a few apps, e.g. microsoft teams.

If I Alt-tab away from the window, and back again, the typing then displays.

The app has received the input. it's just the live display that isn't working.


I already run C:\Windows\system32\ctfmon.exe to kludge around that other bug when are you going to fix that??? where the typing doesn't enter into the search bar after a reboot. So don't bother suggesting that.


At the same time that this bug manifests, I can also type into and see immediate display of my typing in:

Chrome

Outlook e.g. starting a new email, and also the search box

and other programs, so it isn't a system-wide problem.


So the bug when it appears only seems to affect a few apps.

In Win Shows Off the 303 Type-C Chassis

In Win showed off a new variant of its 303 chassis, the 303 Type-C. As its name suggests, the case features a USB 3.1 type-C front panel port, backed by standard USB 3.0/3.1 headers, besides two each of USB 3.0/3.1 and USB 2.0/1.1 type-A ports; and standard HDA audio jacks. The case is otherwise identical to the original In Win 303, which it launched in May 2016.

 

New Teams

Hi,

With regard to your concern, you can add a new team on Cortana by following the steps below:

• Click Cortana or the circle icon.
• Click the Notebook icon, scroll down and click Sports.
• Click Add a team and start typing the name of a team.
• Select the results.

Note: If the the team does not show up in the list you cannot add it to the Notebook. We suggest that you send a feedback using Windows Feedback hub so we can take note of this feature for future updates.

Disable Toast Notifications for Microsoft Teams

When you receive a message through Microsoft teams you get a toast notification and the icon flashes. You can choose to have these notifications enabled or not. However, when the "banner" notification is disabled the toolbar icon does not flash at all.

Is there is a way to disable the toast notification but keep the flashing toolbar icon intact?

I have disabled all notifications in the Notifications settings within Windows 10, but the toast notifications are still showing.
