  1. Typing, stops and blue circle appears

For many years I have used myGE high spreed 55-1 SD Card Reader with my windows Vista, and now attempted to use it with my new Dell Windows 10 . doesn't work ..tells me "there isn't anything there to import"
reading up I see a variety of info on Updating drivers etc, and that my system tells me I have all the current updates, I think Id be better as my Reader is old, I'm might simply buy a newer version of Card Reader rather than chasing my tail trying to get a particular driver update. To be honest, I'm really not very good at this..and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to get much better.. So can anyone suggest a reasonable SD Card reader that I could buy and just.."Plug er in!"
I wonder as my second question, is it possible to go back to Vista, ??

    :)

    Blue Swirling Circle

I have been having an issue with the "spinning blue circle" but it only seems to appear when I'm commenting on an MSN article. If I am in the middle of a sentence and the circle appears I am unable to type until the circle stops. I have also noticed that
I don't have this problem when I switch from Edge to Internet Explorer, so it would appear that the problem is with Microsoft Edge.

  3. Spinning Blue Circle while typing an e-mail in yahoo mail

I just got a new HP laptop with Windows 10. I am trying to type an e-mail in yahoo mail and every few words a spinning blue circle appears, the typing stops and I have to click at the end of the last word to resume. This is driving me insane. What is
    going on?

    Hello,

You can go for any of the latest Kingston or Sandisk SD card readers. Most of them currently in the market are compatible with Windows 10. Regarding your 2nd question: Yes its possible, however, i would suggest spending some time with Windows 10. And i am sure after spending some time with the OS, you would not want to go back to Windows Vista.

If it is clocking while you are using the card reader, my guess is that it is a USB 1.0 device and you are using lower speed cards, so Windows has to buffer writing and reading to the cards, if any read or write errors are being detected.

Simple fix. Get a new card reader and use faster cards.

If you are using the cards to store documents on them, do not do it all of the time. The cards do wear out if used all of the time. If photos, just connect the camera with the card still in it.

What exactly tells you that "there isn't anything there to import"? What specific steps do you perform after connecting your card reader to arrive at this message?

At this point it would be wise to ignore useless advice about "getting a new card reader". It is hard to tell what is going on in your case, since you don't provide much detail, but chances are the problem has nothing to do with card reader at all.

Well yeah I'm sorry, I'm not very good at pcs, and understanding why the darn things don't work the way I want, and I'm old and I'm not going to get better at it either..So in anycase...Ta da..I ordered a new 20 dollar Kingston Reader..from Amazon..so Ill get it Wednesday and Ill see. I do appreciate the fact that at this forum I can get quite a bit of good advice. I think Microsoft..or Dell told me I should pay them a couple of hundred dollars and they would answer any questions I have for 12 months. Nah...BTW My first computer was a Commodore, I think, maybe it was a 32..funny I just thought of that...

Useless advice is telling them that an antiquated card reader is not a pr. Proper advice is what is stated in my post.

The card reader has gone bad and the OP needs to replace it, plain and simple. They can get them for under $10 on Newegg and it would be a 2.0 with better RAM in it and capable of doing the job.

dearellot you did the right thing by coming on here. The $20 reader will last you for quite a long time.

I try and steer anyone needing help on the Microsoft Facebook page over to here, because this is probably one of the best Peer forum sites that yes sometimes you get an argument, but it is over as quick as it started.

I started out in 1977 playing around with a Exidy Sorcerer that my dad brought home, then moved up to a Hearhkit H-89 with CP/M, that I helped my father put together. A lot of hours spent soldering parts on the video board, along with programming in Assembly.
