Windows 10: UAC pointless - ESC bypasses admin approvals

So.... - on my Windows 10 home desktop - I downloaded Firefox.
- Started the installation.
- Got prompted for admin's pin/password.
- Pressed ESC.
- I was returned back to installation - Firefox completed and launched successfully!

The account I'm using is set to 'limited' access. If it was an admin account, it would have just presented me with a yes/no for permissions, not asking for admin user's password/pin. Right??

So, anyone know what gives!??

About "Admin Approval and noticed that it is disabled. Should this be enabled?" - This is almost certainly a red herring but I cannot explain why unless you say what you have noticed & where you noticed it.

Your Admin account [created by you during or since Windows installation] has all the power of the Built-In Admin [that Windows created by itself].
- The major difference is that you have to go through the Admin prompt to give permission to use your Admin powers but the Built-In Admin bypasses that very useful step.
- In normal usage, your Admin account behaves just like a Standard account. That Admin prompt is you giving yourself permission to invoke your Admin powers for a given task.
- You can also bypass the need for that approval prompt but you would be bypassing essential protection [to such an extent that you ought never to connect to any network until you had restored that protection].

Ways to bypass the login theme and signin do not work

Tried setting netplwiz in option 1 step 4 which shows no check in users must enter ..... no bypass of login

Tried step 4 in option 5 below to disable require sign-on on wakeup via policy via registry but still no change on wakeup still getting the screen picture that requires hitting Esc to move to the sign in window which shows a silhouette image, my user name and a sign in button in order to access my desktop screen. Guess I will have to live with the extra steps.
