Windows 10: UE4 Games Using Basic Display Adapter Instead Of Integrated Graphics Card.

Hi,I Was Trying To Run Valorant But It Gave Me An Error.DX11 Feature Level 10.0 Is Required To Run The Engine.I Tried Running Other UE4 Games. Some Gave Me The Same Error And Some Gave Me A Different Error And Some Were Working.Some Gave Me "Shader Model 5.0 Is Required To Run The Game Even Thou I Have A Higher Shader Model Than 5.0.I Looked Into The Log Files And Found That The UE4 Games Were Trying To Run On Basic Display Adapter Even Thou I Was Forcing Them To Run On My Integrated Graphics Card.[2022.07.26-09.35.48:863][ 0]Log file open, 07/26/22 02:35:48 [2022.07.26-09.35.48:863][ 0]Tim

What will happen if I disable my only display adapter

An engineer at Adobe is helping me diagnose a problem with Photoshop. He suggested that I disable my AMD card from device manager and run Photoshop on the integrated graphics to see if the issue persists.

When I check Device Manager, I see only one display adapter listed:





Shouldn't the integrated graphics also be listed? If AMD is my only display adapter, I am reluctant to disable it.

why windows 10 do not install graphics card. windows 10 install basic display adapter. when i install windows 7 it install original graphics card and work good. but when i install windows 10 any ver
it install basic display adapter. if a person have not internet ,how he can install original graphics card. windows 10 tak so much time to update and search original driver of graphics card.

With regard to your query, your Display Adapter is listed as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter instead of the correct driver name. If you have recently update your display card driver, and this problem comes along, what we can try to do here is to roll the
display adapter's driver back to it's previous version.

Please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapter's category, and right-click Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, select
  Properties.
• Under Driver tab, choose Roll Back
  Driver.

If rolling back the driver is unavailable, update the display driver manually.

• In Device Manager, expand Display
  adapter's category and right-click Microsoft Basic
  Display Adapter, and select Properties.
• Under Driver tab, choose Update Driver.
• Select Browser my computer for driver software.
• Click the Browse button, then navigate to the folder where you place the downloaded display card driver setup file.
• Reboot the computer for the changes to take effect.
