UEFI boot from ISO > 4GB in size NTFS issue

Hi folks How do you boot an ISO on an older system that doesn't support UEFI NTFS boot when the iso size is > 4 GB or so. Some of the latest Windows versions are bigger than this so if you want to do a CLEAN install then it seems to me the only way is to create a Virtual Machine and then do a V2P (Virtual to Physical) conversion which is quite a lot of work. Perhaps Ms would be better into splitting the iso's into 2 parts -- 1) just the stuff necessary to start installing base windows with minimal drivers etc and then 2) a second one to add all the bits and pieces. How do people do a clean install via boot from these isos when uefi NTFS boot doesn't work on their systems. Cheers jimbo

    :)

  2. rufus tool uefi and ntfs

as I wanted 1809 version only and it was greater than 4gb rufus created with ntfs then I had to select in bios other os instead of uefi now all my partitions on ssd are ntfs now I chose again uefi os in bios so what difference all this made to my pc? I
had been using uefi since the beginning it is not uefi anymore now? also if I again use iso with media creation tool and make gpt again will other partitions like D and E will not work?

    NTFS Partitions on UEFI-based Systems

I've been thinking on my future computer, and it'll surely be UEFI-based. However, I read that UEFI can only boot from FAT32, which to me, doesn't make too much sense because FAT32 only allows a single file to be a maximum of 4 GB, but I've seen Windows
installers exceeding that 4 GB limit on their install.wim. Especially the latest Windows 10 x64 ISO. Also, linux persistence is also impossible if the casper-rw file is bigger than 4GB.

So, is there a way of booting from NTFS partitions in UEFI-based systems? Or there might be a way of splitting the WIM files so it won't be bigger than 4 GB.

I only need to do this on my Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 ISO files. Win 7 is below 4 GB.

This question sounds simple to me, hence why I didn't post it on TechNet. Tell me if I should though.
