    UH O, suddenly won't boot up


    All of a sudden my computer goes thru the usual boot up win 10, office 365; 50% capacity on ssd hp 360, i7 526 ssd, 16g ram shows my home screen for a few moments then crashes showing a dos screen saying i have no OS.


    I have a recovery d: on the ssd, but can't access it.


    If I have a recovery usb- it's long gone.


    Is it coincidental that 3 days prior to this I bought and setup a new laptop? It has win 10 pro so no duplication of os product #


    What's next?

    Volume Mute Light won´t change color

    Which steps did you perform? Was this from a clean boot?
    Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste this command: shutdown /r /o /f /t 00
    It will boot to the recovery options or windows advanced troubleshooting menu.
    Click troubleshooting and click reset this computer. You will be saving files. Applications and programs will be removed. Windows will be reinstalled.
    Enter your windows logon password.
    You will see getting things ready with rotating dots.
    Click resetting this PC.
    It will then display the HP logo with resetting this PC with rotating dots and a percentage.

    Uh, sounds good. Just that I'm a bit slow. I'v just finished burning Linux on a CD. I'm going to boot from it, and see how far I get from there. Thanks again for the support man.
