Windows 10: UK Extended keyboard does not type some of the accented characters

Hello, I switched over from US keyboard to the UK one and I have been struggling with typing accents since then. I am using UK Extended keyboard and would like to type French accents. I am able to type acute and grave accents successfully by using the AltGr key and ` key respectively. However, I cannot seem to type the circumflex accent. I have tried the following but in vain:1 AltGr + ^ , then the letter e --> e2 AltGr + ^ + letter e --> é2 AltGr + Shift + ^ , then the letter e --> eDoes anyone have a solution?

The grave accent uses "¬" (to the left of "1") followed by the letter, e.g. "¬" followed by "a" gives " ". This does not work if the desired accented character is preceded by certain characters. For example, if I want "lè", I get "λe", or "®e" instead of
"rè", etc. The "¬" key seems to apply to the previous character. I have to type a space after the rogue character, get my accented character, then delete the space - a pain. The problem is not confined to Word (it was present when typing this question, of
course)

Is there setting somewhere which prevents this behaviour?

• What application or platform are you trying to input this character?
• What is the make and model of your keyboard?
• Have you tried updating the keyboard driver?

Meanwhile, you can try to use the Character Map and check if you will be able to insert the accented letters. The Character Map was made to allow users to insert special characters on their documents. To open the Character Map, You can follow these steps:

• Press the Windows key + S to open Search
  Bar.
• Type Character Map, then click it.
• When the application launches, look for the special character that you want to insert on your document.

• What is the language pack are you using on the computer?
• When you say that "put accents above the e and o but i can't seem ", how exactly have you tried to use the accents on the computer?
