    Ultimate Performance power plan unable to be added on Windows 10.


    Hey all! I recently got a new laptop (Lenovo Yoga 6) since I heard a lot of good stuff about it, but I’m having an issue with the power plans for Windows 10.

    Only the Balanced plan is available to be selected. The other power plans simply don’t show up at all. I found a video to add Ultimate Performance, High Performance, Balanced, and Power Saver through Windows Powershell command prompts, but it still will not add the power plans. And I know I did it correctly, because funnily enough I can now choose Balanced twice.

    Does anyone have any idea what would prohibit the addition of Power Plans other than Balanced? I’m just scratching my head here.

    How to enable Ultimate Performance Power Plan in Windows 10?

    The "Ultimate Performance" power plan exists since Windows 10 Version 1803.
    To activate the Power Plan, the following steps must be taken:

    1. Open cmd.exe as Administrator
    2. Duplicate the scheme with: powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61
    3. Copy the guid from ultimate plan
    4. Set the ultimate plan active with: powercfg /setactive <GUID>
