    Un Able to Read Unformatted Disk on this PC in Win 11 or Win 10 Even with External DVD Player Connected via USBProblem was in Win 10, did not fix with new Win 11 Update.If I put unformatted Disk into PC, Windows does not even see it.If I put unformatted disc into and external DVD read/write Drive Connected via USB, Windows does not even see it.If I take same external DVD read/write Drive and connect it to another Win 11 PC, everything works fine.If I then format the Disk and put it into PC with Issue, Disc opens and I can drag files to it.Appears to be Software not Hardware.Appears not to

    Did you try another CD disk (not DVD!)?

    This is a fake. I have four years old external Hitachi-LG portable DVD writer and see no problems in Windows 10 and Windows 11.

    DVD/CD not reading a program disk to install on Win 10

    I've upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10. I need to reinstall a program via disk, since it's not showing after doing the upgrade to Win 10. Win 10 shows the DVD/RW Drive:E in explorer, but it won't read the installation disk when I insert it. Autoplay is
    on, and it worked fine in Win 7 when I used it to install the program. When I insert the disk, I can hear the drive going, but then it stops. Going into the Drive:E, it says please insert disk, but the disk is already in there. I've tried multiple times,
    even cleaned the transport, but nothing works. It's on a Lenovo laptop, the drivers are all up to date.

    DVD+/- won't read or write on Win 10

    Hi, I have an inspiron 7720 and recently upgraded to Win 10. Now my DVD+- GT80N no longer works. It is in the control panel and on attempt to update driver it lists current driver as correct, yet every disk I insert
    is listed as blank and when I try to burn it ejects the disk and claims 'Bad Media'. There is no Mr. Fix it for Win 10, I can't roll back the driver, uninstall/reinstall makes no difference. What can I try next?
