Un-allowed DMA capable bus/device(s) detected - [Error Message from MSInfo32] possible cause - MS 2006 driver?

Un-allowed DMA capable bus/device(s) detected - [Error Message from MSInfo32]

I'm trying to get Virtualization-based security measures implemented but I get the above error message.

    I have: Window 10 Pro

I have disabled BitLocker automatic device encryption, plus turned it completely (BitLocker is not really involved in this problem, so I'm just trying to head-off that suggestion.)

I have confirmed that my computer has no external DMA ports.

I have an installed and enabled TPM.

    Synopsis of the Problem:

In the following website, they suggest checking the Registry List of 'un-allowed Buses', as described immediately below and I identified PCI-to-PCI Bridge as a likely suspect. Then I went through 'Device Manager' looking for this Bridge. I have nine instances of this Bridge on my computer, and they all have the 'un-allowed' device driver. Note that the Driver IDs are the same. The driver is old (2006) and it is a Microsoft driver. I tried to update the driver, but one couldn't be found, so, apparently, no new driver exists. So, how do I deal with this? If I try to delete these Bridges, they will just re-appear again. What do I do? Is there a newer driver somewhere?

    Details and Evidence:

    MSInfo32: Error Message:

Reason for failed automatic device encryption: Un-allowed DMA capable bus/device(s) detected.

    solution 1:

Both the blacklist and whitelist are in your registry at

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DmaSecurity\Default\UnallowedBuses

In my computer at the above address, the Registry of UnallowedBuses is the following list:

  3. Reasons for failed automatic device encryption: Un-allowed DMA capable

Looking through MSINFO32 I see the line:
Device Encryption Support Reasons for failed automatic device encryption: Un-allowed DMA capable bus/device(s) detected

What does it mean? My laptop C:\ drive is encrypted the whole thing. Does this mean I have a problem?

    I have these lines too:
    Secure Boot State On
    PCR7 Configuration Bound

    Un-allowed DMA capable bus/device(s) detected

Microsoft provides this documentation about this message.

Both the blacklist and whitelist are in your registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DmaSecurity. I’m not aware of an automated process to check this, though creating one should be pretty easy.

A typical candidate that exists on most systems is “PCI-to-PCI Bridge”. Curiously, “PCI Express Root Complex” is both in AllowedBuses and UnallowedBuses.
