Windows 10: un-installing AVG

HelloThis AVG browser installed itself and I just find it every time I start my laptop. I can stop it appearing but I want to uninstall it. To do so it requires my admin password. However I forgot my password and tried the words I frequently use in vein. The uninstall window that appears, does not allow "forgot my password" so I do not know how to un-install this program as I do not even know what it is or how it came to my laptop! error 0xE0060006 during AVG installation

I understand the inconvenience that you are facing on Windows 10, we will certainly help you with this issue. 

This issue might occur due to multiple reasons such as:

• Corrupt download or incomplete installation of AVG Free Antivirus software.
• Virus or malware infection that has corrupted Windows system files or AVG Free Antivirus-related program files.
• Another program maliciously or mistakenly deleted AVG Free Antivirus-related files.

This error code also comes when there is the conflict between two antivirus installed on the same system, so if you have two antivirus programs installed on your system, I suggest you to uninstall the antivirus that you don’t require and then try installing
the AVG antivirus again.



I also suggest you to run Microsoft Safety scanner to check for any malware present on the system.
