    Unable to access data after BIOS update


    I recently updated my BIOS to resolve some issues I was having with my PC. The update seemed to resolve one problem but on logging in again I was prompted to enter my PIN. This in itself was unusual as I logged in with a local account previously, not my Windows account. On logging in, I was returned to a largely blank desktop from late last year, the last time I reinstalled Windows 10. I'm unable to access any of my previous data, despite still seeing the space occupied on my drives. I'm mostly concerned about my Documents folder, is there any way to recover this information?     access BIOS settings in Win 10

    I have an 8-year old computer running Win 10. I need to access the BIOS settings. It used to be the holding down the F2 key during startup would bring up the BIOS screen in Windows computers. But this no longer works. A web article listed a complicated
    series of steps leading to a reboot . . . but still no access to BIOS. Any suggestions?
