    Unable to access google.com services

    Good Morning,

Since the July update KB4345418 we can no longer access any google services (google.com, .co.uk youtube.com etc) on IE or Edge on Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10 PC's.

The error we receive is "Turn on TLS 1, TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 in Advanced settings and try connecting to https://www.google.com again. If this error persists, it is possible that this site uses an unsupported protocol or cipher suite such as RC4 (link for details), which is not considered secure. Please contact your site administrator."

Using in Private mode works fine. We have tried enabling SSL 3.0 and various other settings. We have reset the IE cache and all settings to default as mentioned in other posts.

The only way we have managed to get it working is to uninstall update KB4345418.

We need to resolve this as it is effecting the vast majority of our 2016 servers.

    Thanks,

    :)

  2. Cannot Access Google Services

    Thanks for the replay,

I did try all of the suggestions, sadly it still does not work. However I am starting to doubt that this is a google issue because I tried installing an earlier build on my tablet and then going to the current one. The results are the following: When I installed
build 14971.1000 I was able to access all the google services from both Edge and IE, once I upgraded to latest build 14986.1001 I again cannot access the services. That brings to mine that it is something build specific.

If you have any other suggestions, I would be happy to test them.

  3. Cannot Access Google Services

For about a week now I seem to be unable to use any Google service on my PC or Phone via the Store apps or Edge browser. I know I listed this in the PC Platform but this issues also carries out to Mobile as well.

My current PC build is 14986.1001

My current Mobile build is 14977.1000

What I have tried so far:

    1. Use a different internet provider: I went to friend which uses a different internet provider than mine and the problem still persists.

    2. Reboot the devices: problem still persists

    3. Tried flushing the DNS Cache as per Windows: Cannot Connect to Certain Web Sites

    4. Tried using a different browser on the PC: downloaded Chrome and Firefox and I can access google services in them fine. Internet explorer gives me the same error as Edge: "This page can't be displayed" followed by a fix connection problems button.

    4. Tried using a different browser on Mobile: I download UC Browser again with UC I can access google service as normal. Edge seems to be the only one affected.

    Additional information:

I am using Tubecast for Youtube instead of the site for Youtube both on my Phone and my PC and on both devices those apps stopped working when I started having problems with all of the Google services.

By Google service I mean all services that I use: Google translate does not open in Edge, Google search does not open in Edge and Youtube does not open in Edge .

I am having the feeling that Google is somehow blocking the usage from those Apps to their services. I love Edge but now it is rendered almost unusable for me.

  4. Unable to access google.com services

Unable to connect to Google servers

There are cases that web content are blocked due to proxy server settings. We suggest that you remove the check mark on the the proxy server box, follow the steps below:

    • Type Internet Options in the Ask me anything bar.
    • Click on Connections tab.
    • Click on LAN settings.
    • Remove check in Proxy server box.
Once done, access your Google apps and check if issue persist.

Send your post to keep us updated on how the steps goes.
