Windows 10: Unable to access HDD or USB storage devices

I noticed recently, though I believe it may have occurred within the past couple of months, maybe even when I upgraded to windows 11, that I can't access my HDD or ANY USB storage device. Non-storage USB devices work as intended. I've tried 4 different USB thumb drives and then a USB HDD WD Elements 1TB external drive.The only accessible storage appears to be my 1TB M.2 drives that I have labeled C / D.I don't see the 4TB HDD SATA either at all in my disk management but I do see when I plug in a USB thumb drive..I receive the following error when attempting to assign a drive letter: 'The

Hi, I have Microsoft 11. I have inserted a USB device but I am not seeing the device under "This PC". I am seeing the device listed under "Settings", "Bluetooth & Devices", "other devices" (connected to USB 3.0). . What step can I take to access this device?

My Mass USB storage device had a little tumble of less then a foot, but now I'm unable to open up the device to access the information inside. I have repeatedly uninstalled the driver like troubleshooting has suggested and the uninstalling of the driver
has not helped. The device shows up in Devices and printers but with a triangle containing an exclamation point. I've opened up "create and format hard disk partitions" but the device doesn't show up there and has already been assigned a drive letter on a
previous date. The same thing is happening with 3 other windows 10 computers.

Hi,

Have you tried all usb ports on your surface pro 4? If yes then I highly suggest you to try these steps from this link: Fix
The Parameter Is Incorrect on External Hard Drive. Skip the reset part and make a backup of your HDD to one of your other PC's incase it gets formatted in any way. Try to go through the troubleshooting steps one by one and see which one works.
