Windows 10: unable to access laptop after system32 error and blue screen of death

after doing a windows update, I got a system32 error, blue screen of death and now cannot get past the admin password on the laptop, even though it is correct. I have tried holding the shift key and restarting, I am unable to get any further than the password. I have looked on several forums but I am unable to access any settings or BIOS

If anyone happens to know the error called "DRIVE_IRQL_NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS" please let me know. It says that on the blue screen of death I call it.
