  1. Unable to access my windows 10

I recently removed Pin from my laptop and when I restarted it. It started asking for password as system doesn't have pin. But unfortunately I have forgotten the password and I'm unable to retrieve it.

Unable to access Zip folder created by "Steps Recorder" in Windows 10

Thank you for the reply. I already have "hidden files" checked. - - - Updated - - - To clarify : 1) Attempting to open file by clicking on it in the "Recent files" list I get the following:

    2) Unable to find file where it is supposed to be located based on the "File location" path:

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Unable to access my windows 10

Unable to access Zip folder created by "Steps Recorder" in Windows 10

I had concluded as well, the file must not have existed (based on screen-shots below) - so I tried doing a restart of the "File Explorer" - with the goal to get the phantom file to disappear from the "Recent files" list - but it still remained so I used the right-click context menu option "Remove from Quick access" for the phantom file that did the trick. *Wink (I was reluctant to use the "Remove from Quick access" until I assured myself that the file must apparently not exist (regardless of it being listed in the "Recent files" list - which is a bit confusing why this was the case. *Confused ) What led me to conclude the file must not exist was the following:
Unable to access my windows 10 e-access-zip-folder-created-steps-recorder-windows-10-a-pic-1-attempting-rename-file-general-tab.png
Doing the above and ignoring the dialog produced the results below
Unable to access my windows 10 -folder-created-steps-recorder-windows-10-a-pic-2-ignoring-dialog-produced-item-not-found-dialog.png
    - so since I never moved the file one would have to conclude the file listed in "Recent files" must be a phantom file. I would have assumed that a restart of "File Explorer" would have cleared the file but obviously not. Many thanks for all the help provided - I'll flag topic as resolved. *Party - - - Updated - - - P.S. Btw, I had tried (while still assuming the file may had existed) enabling this setting (wondered if this might help) - but didn't make any difference....
