Unable to access NAS Drive secured folder

Hi, I recently upgraded my Windows 10 to Build 19041.

Using NAS EX4100. I added my user "mazhar" in NAS, it is associated with folder "mazhar". User mazhar has full read\write access to folder mazhar.

Now after windows upgrade i am able to access Public folder without any problem, but when i try to access "mazhar" after provideding username and password i get error message "\\192.168.x.x\mazhar: is not accessible.xxxxxxxxxxxxx"

I have already enable SMB option but in vain. Already checked network discoveries and windows credential manager.

I had an older build on my office laptop and i dont face that issue on it.

Could you please guide me how to resolve this problem.

    Thanks

    Mazhar

    :)

NAS Drive - Folder security problem

I have a few NAS drives connected to my home network, and have used TakeOwn and also icacls to try and delete folders/files on the NAS drive that were created ages back when my PC was using a different SID ID, or my MAC has saved files here which has also
    changed on its userid.

When I try and use TakeOwn or Icacls to grant me access, it either processes with no errors, but then when I try and delete the folder/files it reports 'This security id may not be assigned as the owner of this object"

I also get Access Denied and other various errors, and at present can not get the elevated command prompts switches or settings correct to allow me to delete the files of folders.

I dont have any shares or user access permissions set up on the NAS as they are local to my home network, so there are no user accounts set up and no passwords so they map fine and I can access all folders fine.

How can I remove the ACLS/Security IDs on the files / folders to restore normal control? what are the best switches and settings for TakeOwn and icacls - or is there a utility I can use to to delete these?

    Any help greatly appreciated!

Unable to access NAS Drive secured folder

    Unable to access NAS drives

    Hi,

I recent reset my Surface Book 2 15" as Cortana was not working on it. After the reset the Cortana has started working okay but I am not unable to access my NAS drives (QNAP NAS). I was working with Lightroom before the reset all well for last couple of
    weeks.

I have tried everything, resetting again, have poured over threads telling me to do things that have not worked in my case. Enabling/Disabling Network Discovery, Enabling Disbaling SMB 1/SMB Direct, actually have reset the SB2 again and still it is not working
anymore. I have other two laptops (a Thinkpad and a Dell) and they both work (read are able to access NAS drives) well.

Any help will be appreciated. Because not able to access my NAS drives have brought my work to a standstill.
