Access Non-Domain NAS on a Domain PC

How in the world can I connect a Non-Domain NAS to a Domain PC running Windows 10 Enterprise 64-Bit.

First attempt it neither showed up on PC or on my Phone (Android 8 Custom Rom). Second attempt, the day after it worked and showed up on my Phone, but on my PC it only shows up, but it doesnt work. When I try to connect it just prompts with Username and
Password but it doesnt matter if enter PC Username and Password or NAS Username or Password. Changing Domain by writing domain\username in username field does not work either. Tried with both PC Name and NAS Name. It wont let me access.

Anyone got a clue of whats going on?

    Windows 10 & NAS Box

    Hi Peter,

A few possible reasons can cause this issue. To help us identify the cause of this problem, we would like to know the following information:

    • How is your NAS box connected to your computer? (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or USB)
    • Are you using a program provided by the manufacturer of your NAS box to access it?
    • Do you receive any error messages when accessing your NAS box? If yes, what is the exact error message?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

In the meantime, we suggest that you perform the solution provided by omiklik (Most Helpful Reply)
in the following thread: Unable to see NAS drive on Network - Win 10 PC.

Keep us updated on the status of the issue, and we will be glad to assist you further.

Unable to access NAS from Domain Computers

UnattendedJoin error: failed to find the domain data (0x6e)

Thanks for the suggestion! I don't want to add a domain account, as this is a generic unattended install that will be used for all company machines. Do you think it's possible that the computer would join the domain if, instead of using UnattendedJoin in specialize, I used your steps but left out the specific account?

The other thing I was thinking was to use a generic account to allow the domain join during the specialize step. I added a machine password in the UnattendedJoin component, and instead of getting the error listed above, I got an authentication error, which makes me think I could probably do a secure join instead of the unsecure join.

    Thoughts?
