Windows 10: Unable to access recovery keys

    Unable to access my BitLocker recovery key

    I am unable to access my Bitlocker Recovery Key, when logging in the correct one for my device does not show.
    The issue is the computer has an error when booting, I would like to access the hard drive using an enclosure in order to get my wedding video from the hard drive before I do a repair, however the Recovery Key associated with my account is not working (different device ID).
    Is there any way of requesting the recovery key from Microsoft?

    Unable to acquire recovery key.

    Hello Eduardo,

    We're here to help. If you have set up a recovery key, you may need to login on a computer using your Microsoft account to get the recovery key. Please follow the steps provided below:


    • Go to account.microsoft.com/devices.

    • Login using the same Microsoft account that you used on your phone.

    • Select Get recovery key and wait until it generates the code.
