Windows 10: Unable to access Virus and Threat protection settings page

Recently, after installing a somewhat shady software, I have been unable to access Virus and Threat protection page. Everytime I turn my PC on, a notification pops up on screen saying I have not enabled Real Time protection enabled and asks me to enable it. However everytime I click on it the following message pops up I installed and uninstalled Malwarebytes and Avast and even ran multiple checks with them, but Since I had already restored Windows to an earlier point I could not find any kind of malware. I am running Windows 11 Home Edition and have tried most of the fixes already, but to no

Accessing "Virus & threat protection settings"

There are a few things you can try:



1. Try opening the Control Panel and then going to Security and then Virus & threat protection settings.



2. If that doesn't work, try opening the Start Menu and then typing "gpedit.msc" into the search bar. This should open up the Group Policy Editor, which should then allow you to access the Virus & threat protection settings.







3. If neither of those work, then you may not have the correct permissions to access the Virus & threat protection settings. In that case, you'll need to contact your administrator and ask for access.

As an alternative approach, you can allow that utility through the Controlled Folder Access section of WIndows 10 security . . .

Open Windows Defender Security Center

Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access

From there, you can add Dell Data Vault to the list of safe or allowed apps to prevent it from being blocked

Please do not leave Controlled Folder Access turned off permanently

Virus and threat protection has stopped and will not restart, Windows 10 ver 1709, antimalware client ver 4.12.16299.15 . SuperAntiSpyware installed.

I have tried most of the suggestions from the support pages, all have been ineffective. Any suggestions
