Windows 10: Unable to activate Windows after a Reset; sppsvc refuses to start, gives System Error 183.

Summary: See title. Following a PC reset, attempting to re-activate Windows gives Error 0xc0000022, which I have tracked down to being a failure for sppsvc to start. sppsvc wont start

I assume you are getting Access denied (Error 0xC00005 or similar) when running it?

Follow these steps:
Boot to Advanced Startup Options in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

Open command Prompt and run the commands as below.

Diskpart to get the Windows drive letter and Dism using that drive letter.





Assuming that the component store is not corrupted as well. If this does not work change source to a Windows USB/DVD.

 

Windows refuses to update - Error 0x800f0922


Windows won't update, i ran sfc as an Admin in CMD and no issues.

• Adobe is activated on Edge but still doesn't work, could this be related?

[SOLVED] cannot start/enable Software Protection (sppsvc) Service
