Windows 10: Unable to add additional user to my Windows computer

Hi there,I am trying to add another user to my Windows computer.I need this user to be able to log onto the machine and use it as their own and have admin rights. To perform this step, I am navigating to Settings > Accounts > Other Users > Add Account.On the Microsoft 'How will this person sign in' window I am entering the email address *** Email address is removed for privacy *** but it gives me an error stating 'Looks like this isn't a Microsoft account. Try another email or sign up for a new one'.THIS IS A MICROSOFT ACCOUNT!!!! It is my work email address and I have full Office 365 set up on

  What is the make and model of your computer?
  

I suggest you check if you are able to boot into Windows Recovery Environment using installation media. Follow the steps provided below and check.

• • Insert the installation USB and boot Windows 10 from it.
  • In the ‘Windows setup’ page select the ‘language to install’, ‘Time and currency format’ and the ‘keyboard or input method’ and click on ‘next’.
  • Click on ‘Repair your computer’ and select ‘Troubleshoot’.

Check if you are able to boot to this window. If you are unable to boot to this window, I suggest you to contact the manufacturer and check.

Unable To Create An Additional User on Windows 10

To assist you with your issue, you can follow this options:

Option 1:

• You can run the Microsoft Accounts Troubleshooter by downloading it through this
  
  link.

If the issue persists, you follow the second option.

Option 2:

• You can use the User Profile Service and check if this will resolve the issue. Here are the steps:
• Press the Windows key + R on the keyboard.
• Type in services.msc and tap Enter.
• Search for User Profile Service.
• Double click on User Profile Service, under Service status click
  Start.
• On the Startup type, choose Automatic on the drop-down list.

Current active users that are friends

The other reason I suggested this is that users can add characters to their username that are not alphanumeric (e.g. user*). This confuses things somewhat when looking at the list.
