Windows 10: Unable To Add Device To My PC After Initially Having It Removed EDIT

I am having trouble adding my LG TV as a device to my PC. I have been following the said instructions under Settings, but I am still having an issue with this.


I have initially had the LG TV device removed from my PC a few days ago, because I had been having trouble and I still do now projecting my PC to the LG TV screen same TV brand in my basement and my bedroom. For some reason, on both TV screens, when I would try to project my PC to each screen, the instructions would never display themselves. It would normally read something like, "Sarah's Laptop requests sharing with your screen" and the DECLINE button would appear as an option to decline sharing. And 99.9% of the time, I had been able to successfully connect my laptop to the TV screen. But sometime last month, I had trouble with this and I have since decided to remove the LG TV device from my PC, with the intention of adding it back again for success in projecting to the TV.


However, I do not have any such issue with my Android phone when I connect it to the TV. It works perfectly fine and I am always able to successfully project it to the TV. It's just on my Windows PC that I am having this issue.


I also have Control Panel open; is there a way that I can add LG TV as an option for device to add?


A helpful piece of information to know is that when I click on "Add Bluetooth or other device" which I predict that I will be advised to do and click "Wireless Display or Dock", the only available device option that I see is the Samsung 7 Series 55, which is the Samsung TV that is in my living room, which I do NOT want my PC to be projected to. I only want my PC to be able to project to the LG TV, which are the ones in my basement and my bedroom, as I have previously mentioned because my bedroom and my basement in my house both serve as sort of my own personal living, comfortable space, and my other family members use the living room Samsung TV, and I do not wish to have my PC connected to a TV that other people use. I am only comfortable with allowing my PC to connect to the LG TV that I individually and privately use most often.


To sum up my issue, I would like to have my Windows 10 PC to be able to successfully project and connect to the LG Smart TV in my basement and my bedroom. I have removed the Samsung TV device from my PC; I want to add in LG Smart TV again as a device option. Is there any way that the LG TV device option can be displayed in the "Wireless Display or Dock" section? Please take me through this issue, step by step.

Remove Devices

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



I understand that you are facing issues while removing the device from your Microsoft account as it keeps popping back after removing.



It could be possible that the device was using OneDrive with the same Microsoft account and that might be the reason you are able to see the device listed under your profile. I would suggest you to remove the device from OneDrive
and see if that helps.



You can follow the steps to remove the device from OneDrive.

1. Login to
   https://onedrive.live.com.
2. Now on the left hand pane click on PC’s.
3. Now click on the devices that are listed under PC’s and on the right hand side click on
   Remove PC.

If the issue persists, please get back to us with the results of the troubleshooting steps to assist you further.

Unable to Initialize Disk

Thanks for the suggestions...

I was able to figure it out after A LOT of google searching.

First had to see what virtualdisks were listed then remove them.

Get-VirtualDisk

Remove-VirtualDisk -FriendlyName <name>

Then get and remove the storage pool

Get-StoragePool -FriendlyName "name"

Remove-StoragePool

After that, I was able to initialize like it was a new disk.

 

unable to initialize device PRN

I had save a file in notepad++ as ex1.py. I assume when you type print ex1.py, the content of the file is displayed? It worked earlier, and now just gives me the message " unable to initialize device PRN".
