Windows 10: Unable to add folder to Library

Hello everyone,Windows 11 home, version 23H2 build 22631.3155Took a photo using my HP laptop camera app, but it will not save the image, error code 0xA00F424F. When the laptop was purchased this worked. Note: all of the "My" folders have been mapped to new locations with "My Pictures" going to an external drive. I dont really use Libraries since I was brought up using DOS and Windows 3.1: I maintain strict folder structures, I don't store anything in the "User" folders. I also have disabled cloud storage to OneDrive.I Googled the error code and follwed all suggestions, without luck.Delet

Map a network drive folder to my video library

To Include folders using Manage Library Tools, we suggest that you perform the steps below:

• In File Explorer, select or open a library (ex: Videos) you want to include a folder or drive to.
• Click on the Library Tools Manage tab, and click on the Manage library button in the ribbon.
• Click on the Add button
• Browse to and select a folder or drive that you want to include in this library, and click on the Include folder button.
• When finished, click/tap on OK.

Form the issue description, I realize that you are trying to view your pictures in the default pictures library. To do so, you have to change the location of the folder that contains your pictures to the default pictures library folder.



To view your pictures in the default pictures library, I suggest you to follow the steps below.

• 
  Right-click on the default Picture folder
  and click on Properties.
  
• 
  Navigate to Location tab.
  
• 
  Click on Move…. and select the folder that contains your pictures and click on
  Apply and then click on Ok.

Windows 11 > File Explorer > Libraries > View > Change default view for all folders and sub-folders of all Libraries listed?

• I created New Folder
  
• Properties > Customise > Optimised for General Items > tick box Also apply this template to all sub-folders
  
• New Folder > View is List
  
• Options > Folder options > View > Folder views > Apply to Folders
  
• Include in library > Create new library
  
• Go to Libraries > New Folder > View is List
  
• Open New Folder > View is Details?
