Windows 10: Unable to add Google Drive to file explorer sidebar

Hello. Today I was trying to add a Google Drive direct link to the sidebar of the file explorer. I followed the tutorial available here. However nothing happens. I tried other similar .reg files which can be found by searching on Google. However the problem persists.

Just in case, I installed the latest Google Drive version, which includes Backup and Sync. Also I have Dropbox and OneDrive. These apps have their icons on the sidebar working completely normal. My system is 64 bit.

Adding Google Drive to Windows 10 explorer

I realize that this thread is old, but I have a question about this and I haven't found anything more recent on this topic. I've used this to add Google Drive to the Windows Explorer Sidebar and that is great. With the Backup and Sync app now from Google,
you can now add multiple Google Drives to your computer. I currently have them syncing to different folders on my computer, such as:

Google Drive

Google Drive - 2

Google Drive - 3

I was trying to figure out how to add the additional drives to the Windows Explorer Sidebar, but have hit a wall. I assume that for the additional instances, I need to use a different CLSID in the registry. If I change the name of the sidebar Google Drive
and the path, it points to one of the other drives for me, but the old one disappears. Is there a way to have multiple Google Drives in the sidebar?

In windows 10 file explorer left pane, the shortcut to my Google drive as disappeared

If it works (syncs) just fine but only the folder link is missing from the navigation pane, all you need to do is fix the shell folder GUID values. Haven't used Google Drive, but one of these might help you.
