Windows 10: Unable to add hp LaserJet Pro 400 m401dne to Windows 11

The universal drive didn't work for me, and also manually adding printer didn't work. We use USB to connect printer to computer. Thanks in advance.

Since I upgraded to Window 10 from Window 8.1, I have not been able print with my printer (HP LaserJet Pro 400 m401a Printer Error).

I need useful help. I have downloaded updated driver from Hp site, installed, d process of installation failed at 98% of completion. yet it doesnot work.

You don't say where you did this online search for drivers.

Uninstall then reinstall your Printer using the correct Drivers and setup information at this HP website.

And there are troubleshooting steps for it there too.

Win10 and HP Laserjet Pro 400 M401dn printer Issues

Just upgraded to WIN10 from 7. Everything OK except for HP LaserJet Pro 400 m401dn printer.

The automatic Win10 install treats the printer as a USB CD drive. If the CD device is removed and using the HP installation software to force the PCL6 driver, the software says Win10 accepted the driver, but now does not see the printer on the USB port.

Have tried many approaches but no luck

Any ideas ?
