Windows 10: Unable to advance pass lock screen to login on Windows 10

I'm running Windows 10 on an HP Pavilion P6 Series. Yesterday, I started to have an issue where I'm unable to advance past the lock screen to enter my pin. Here's the sequence:1. Lock screen appears with the time and date in the lower left corner.2. I tap a key to advance to the login screen to enter my pin.3. The screen goes black.4. The lock screen reappears.I've already tried restarting and running a startup repair. So far nothing's worked. Please help!

You can use your own image of any background and just go to settings/personalize/lock screen and click on browse as in the image below. It should make whatever picture you use as the Lock Screen

Thanks for the quick reply. While your suggestion does change the sign in process, it doesn't address the differing screenshot question. Following the steps doesn't make the login screenshot the same as the Lock screenshot. As I mentioned, I can't even find the screenshots being used for both screens.

Still looking a solution to this. Open to any other suggestions you might have to the problem. Thanks!
