  1. Unable to allocate or extend the disk partition after removing ubuntu 22.04

I installed Ubuntu 22.04 and then, I didn't like it and remove it again. Now, my basic disk is changed to dynamic and in the dynamic disk, I am unable to allocated the unallocated partition and also cannot extend my volume. How to solve that?

    :)

    Can't allocate partition previously ubuntu

    Hello all,

I'm having this issue where I can't allocate my ~700GB partition I used to dual-boot Ubuntu on my 3TB HDD. Recently, I've decided to remove Ubuntu as I haven't been using it lately and wanted to use that amount of memory for something else on my windows part of the HDD. So what I did was go into the disk management in Windows, and delete the partition that Ubuntu was located on. It then became an Unallocated partition and I wanted to either extend another partition, or create a whole new partition for other things. Unfortunately, when I wanted to do either of those things, I would get an error: "There is not enough space available on this disk(s) to complete this operation" Even when I lowered the MB lower to that "available" it still gave me the error. I just cannot get it to work. I ended up trying using partitioning tools and those were all telling me that the disk is bad, and couldn't give me any information about it. I even performed a surface scan on one of the tools and no errors were found which confused me even more. I really want that partition back to use for my other things. I would like it if there was a way to do this without having to format the disk entirely, or something in that nature.

Some vital information is that windows is not installed on this HDD. That should PROBABLY narrow out the option of reinstalling windows.

    Update: Adding image to help.

Unable to Use Unallocated Space to Extend Partition

Okay...thanks. Will look at it tomorrow. FYI, I figured out how to get that unformatted G partition back into D.

In Disk Management, I right clicked G and selected "Delete Volume." That rendered the partition as unallocated. I was then able to extend D with that space.

Thanks again for all of the help!
