    I have tried numerous times to apply these updates with failures in every case. The error code is 0x800703f1 in each case.Looking through recommendations from the forums, I have completed the following.I used my oldest restore point to no avail.Then:chkdsk /F which only runs after a reboot, but in any case it reports "Windows has scanned the file system and found no problems."then:sfc /SCANNOW which always returns "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."I have turned protections "OFF" for the recommended folder, and receive the same the same error on subseque

    how to fix 2023-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5023706)

    Why would an in-place Upgrade solve this problem? I did all the steps listed here but not the in-place update. The error I see in the Windows update window is "Download error - 0x8024401c" for 2023-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5023706). Its been logging this error since 3/17/2023

    Note that on 2/15 everything seemed fine:

    2023-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5022845)

    Successfully Installed on 2/15/2023

    2023-02 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5022497)

    Successfully Installed on 2/15/2023
