    Unable to back up - error message STATUS_WAIT_2 (0X80070002)


    Just bought a Toshiba 2GB USB 3.0 in order to back up computer but got the above error message. As I'm a regular user ie don't write software, game or get into the innards of the hardware, please can someone suggest ways to get this working that I'll be able to follow? Not sure whether it's the computer being unhappy as have been having issues with iTunes on it recently too, or something else? It's an HP... Thanks for help in advance

    Does anyone know what this means? It occurred after backing up system and files to an external hard disk.

    My platform is Windows 10 Pro version 1799, OS build 16299.309

    The complete message reads as follows:

    Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\OneDrive. ErrorUnable to back up - error message STATUS_WAIT_2 (0X80070002) :(STATUS_WAIT_2 (0x80070002))
