  1. Unable to boot computer

Problem: dude read the subjectHardware Details: Computer: Legion Desktop 7000K-26IOB Graphics Card: RTX 3060 Ti CPU: Intel Core i7 I forgot the restSo I recently want to install ubuntu onto my PC and I did it with the following steps:1. I decided I want to not only install ubuntu but lots of other linux systems so I partitioned my disk into many parts. 2. I didn't install any of them and I decided I don't need that much system and deleted all of the disks and reverted back to normal3. I put Ubuntu in a sd drive and booted my PC up in recovery mode and there were many weird devices

Windows update failed and unable to boot

    Hi Chrissy,

To assist you better help us with the information below.

    • Have you made any recent software/hardware changes to the computer?
    • Do you get any error message or code when trying to boot into the computer?
When installing updates it puts message “Do not shut down your machine”, if you unplug the AC adapter or turn off the computer Chances are:

    • Windows resuming the installation process next time you shutdown.
    • A non-vital program file becomes corrupted and causes some feature of the OS to become unusable and crash.
As an initial step I would suggest you to unplug all external devices if connected and then try to boot the computer by plugging in the AC adapter and check if you are able to boot the computer.

If the computer boots make sure all the updates are installed and then you can login to user Interface.

If you still not able to unable to get the in Windows Bootable environment I Would suggest you contact your manufacturer.

Get back to us if your require more help on this query.

    Thank you.

    Unable to boot computer

    Unable to boot the computer

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving the issue. I understand that you that you are unable to boot the computer. I’ll certainly help you with the issue.

    However, please let us know:

    • Do you receive any error message while starting the computer?
    • What is the make and model of the computer?

As you have already tried using System Restore, uninstalling updates and reinstall using recovery partition. I would suggest you to try repairing the computer using the bootable media you have created.

    Startup Repair:

    1. Boot the computer using bootable USB.
    2. On the Install Windows screen, select
      Next > Repair your computer.
    3. On the System Recovery Options screen, select
Troubleshoot> Advanced options > Startup Repair.
    4. Restart the PC.

If Startup Repair doesn’t work, then we will need to perform a Custom installation on the computer. A custom installation will remove all the applications/programs from the computer, however, the data will be saved in
    C:\Windows.old\Users\<yourusername> folder.

To perform a Custom installation, refer the article on

    Andre Da Costa.

Let us know how it goes.
