Windows 10: unable to boot from usb drive

TL DR: USB drive is working, but pc ignores boot order, goes to recovery.Full story:After a night the computer starts up to require bitlocker code. I did not save the code. so decided to reinstall win11. Following some article online, I used diskpart to delete the original C drive. Changed BIOS boot order, and booted with a bootable installation usb drive. The USB worked at this step.However the usb drive does not recognize the hard drive, then I unplugged the USB, and tried to boot from hard drive, only to realize the partition has been deleted. Only to see the recovery blue screen.Now when I

it might just be that your bios doesn't support it, but it should anyway.

make sure you go into the bios and make sure "boot other device" is enabled and try seeing if the usb is listed as an hdd.. as bootable flash drives are usually picked up as usb hdd's and check if your bios detects the flash drive.

Did the first step. It already doesn't work. Note the capacities and drive letters M:/N: The HP utility is about to format my raid-1 volume containing my 2 750gb drives. It thinks it's the usb stick. I can not select any other drives in the HP utility. My 512mb usb stick is U:.

Any other suggestions?

I suggest you check if you are able to boot into Windows Recovery Environment using installation media. Follow the steps provided below and check.

• • Insert the installation USB and boot Windows 10 from it.
  • In the ‘Windows setup’ page select the ‘language to install’, ‘Time and currency format’ and the ‘keyboard or input method’ and click on ‘next’.
  • Click on ‘Repair your computer’ and select ‘Troubleshoot’.

Check if you are able to boot to this window. If you are unable to boot to this window, I suggest you to contact the manufacturer and check.
