Win10 - Unable to access BIOS through normal methods and UEFI firmware settings, unable to boot without drive to force it, help?

I've had the unable to get into the BIOS problem for a long time, but it hasn't been an issue until recently, when my HDD is taking a shit and i've bought an ssd.

No matter what I do, I can't get windows to go into BIOS so that I can change boot options, put my OS and startups on the ssd, etc. When I initially turn the tower on, my monitor doesn't ever show the "press f11 or del for bios" or whatever it's supposed to say, and pressing any of the keys or combinations thereof don't seem to do anything either.

When I go to settings -> recovery and try to restart and boot into UEFI firmware settings it just skips right past it and boots into Win10 normally again, and if I unplug either or both drives it just never boots at all.

I've done the "reset your pc" and reinstalled windows (digital key) probably twice and am running out of random forum answers to try. Does anyone have any kind of solution?

Can you enter the UEFI Firmware Setup now by any method shown in
Recommended way to enter BIOS for Lenovo Desktops & All-In-Ones

In the UEFI Firmware Settings do you see settings for Secure Boot and Fast Boot, and what are these settings presently?

    Accessing BIOS (UEFI Firmware Settings)

Frequently, PC users have difficulty entering BIOS on a fast boot computer using OEM instructions, e.g., esc + f10.

In Windows 10 one method of accessing the BIOS is from the Settings menu of Start as follows:

    Settings > Update and Recovery > Recovery > Advanced start-up > Restart Now > Troubleshoot >
Advanced Options > UEFI Firmware Settings

Secure Boot and UEFI Firmware updates?

If laptop is so old that it came with Windows 7, a firmware update is highly unlikely. Updating bios has nothing to do with secure boot anyway.
