  1. Unable to change drive where new apps will save to 0x80070005

Hello, I recently reset my C drive and reinstalled windows Got a new drive.

I would like to uninstall my old GamePass games and switch to that hard drive as the default install for new games.

Changing the settings in Windows presents me with this error:

Unable to change drive where new apps will save to 0x80070005 d5054961-9e2b-4fac-b3e9-fe2ac815b415?upload=true.png

When I attempt to uninstall my old Windows games off of my Game Drive E, I get hit with this error:

Unable to change drive where new apps will save to 0x80070005 7325157e-d88c-492c-8230-a71ceed0ad6f?upload=true.png

I have tried every possible solution on answers.microsoft.com:

    • Making a new folder and moving the WindowsApps
    • File shredding and force uninstalling with multiple different freeware and open source software.
    • Renaming the folder
    • Resetting ntfs permissions
    • Resetting or changing any permissions
    • Every other solution that has been mentioned already

Every single solution that has been given on the internet, hits me with that same folder access denied message.

Formatting the drive is NOT an option.

Pls get back to me ASAP. Thanks!

    :)
