    I have entered wrong DOB while creating my microsoft account and unable to change this i have tried all possible ways and also microsoft team tried to change my date of birth remotely but they are unable to as i am a part of family safety and i also have the access of organizers account but i am unable to change with organizers account also while clicking on manage consent options there is no option available to edit info or anything it only shows,and i have also attached the screenshotIn the United States, South Korea, Brazil, and the EU, legislation requires that children have adult consent

    Hi Alex,

    To change the date of birth on your Microsoft Account, you can follow the steps below:

    • Sign in to
      Your info       on the Microsoft account website.
    • Click Edit your personal info.
    • Select the correct date of birth, and then select Save.

    If the birth date on a Microsoft account says that it belongs to a child, there are different steps to take in regions that regulate what children can do online. You can check this
    link for more information.

    How to change birth date of the child account?

    I am unable to change the date of birth of my child's account, which was entered incorrectly.

    The date of birth currently set is 2011 (which is should be 2002).

    I have followed the instructions on this page:

    How to change a birth date on a Microsoft account

    As the account is set to 12 years old, the child is under the statutory age for my country.

    The steps above say to perform the following actions for a child under the age of consent:

    1. Using the adult Microsoft account, sign in to your account on family.microsoft.com.
    2. Choose the family member, select then Manage consent.
    3. In the Manage permissions page of the child’s account you want to change, at the right, select Edit this child's personal info and then follow the instructions.
    In step 3, the Manage permissions page does not show "Edit this child's personal info". instead, it simply shows the below screen.

    change date of birth on Microsoft account

    I am trying to help my dad who cannot access his email because his profile date of birth has him listed as a child. His date of birth cannot be changed because he is the only user and does not have a "parent" to change his data. His name and other information can be changed but his date of birth is the only thing he cannot change. He is now concerned that he will have to set up a whole new account and loose all his emails. I can't find any information that is helpful.
