Windows 10: unable to change product key

I am trying to enter a legit win 10 product key that i recently purchased to a PC that has a non-legit license activated probably with a loader.

I go through Settings-> System-> Change product key and complete all the steps without errors.

But when I type slmgr/dli to command prompt it keeps showing me a part from the old key.

Does anyone know a way to correct this?

Get Windows 10 app not responding after changing product key

• Windows 8.1 was with KMS license
• Reserved free upgrade to Windows 10
• Bought Windows 8.1 product key and changed product key via PC info app
• Get Windows 10 app not responding.

Steps tried

• Uninstall KB 3035583 using wusa /uninstall
• Restart
• Reinstall KB 3035583 using Windows Update
• Restart
• Click on Get Windows 10 icon, not responding.

 

Why was I not asked for a product key when upgrading to Win 10?

According to your spec you have Win 10 Pro, but perhaps that doesn't reflect your PC.

You haven't stated which edition of Win 10 you have on this machine, nor what your Win 10 key is for.

For example, if you already have Win 10 Pro and your key is Win 10 Home, that would be a retrograde step.
