Unable to Change Required Sign-in when PC goes to sleep

So, I go to Settings, then Account, then Sign-in Options. The very first item on this page is the Require Sign-in option. It does show an drop down that indicates "When PC wakes from Sleep", but it is greyed out and not able to be changed. A message indicates I need to go to Power & Sleep Options. So, I go back on Settings, the System, then Power & Sleep. There are only 2 options now on that page, Screen and Sleep allowing you to select time to turn off screen and for PC to go into sleep mode. On the right side of the screen is a link to go to Additional Power Settings. I select that and get into the Power Options, I am under the Balanced option. I then go to Change Plan Settings, but there is also nothing I see in there that allows me to Turn Off authentication required when PC wakes up from sleep.

I have seen other users suggest changing the UAC if it is at the highest level as that may solve the problem. I have tried that and my setting is at the 2nd to highest level but am still encountering the same issue. Under Sign-in Options, there is a red message stating that "Authentication is required when this PC wakes from sleep. Security policies on this PC are preventing you from changing this setting". So I disabled the "Require a password when a computer wakes on battery and plugged in but am still getting the same problem. How do I fix this?? Please help.

    Thanks,

    David

  4. Unable to Change Required Sign-in when PC goes to sleep

"authentication is required when this pc wakes up from sleep" to change this setting is greyed out in Windows 10

I didn't change this setting but all of a sudden I am required to sign in when my PC wakes up from sleep. When I go to Sign In Options it says that "Authentication is required when this PC wakes up from sleep. To change this, go to Settings and search
for Power & Sleep. However, the area to change is greyed out and Power and Sleep offers no changes for sign in. I am using Windows 10 and all of the suggestions to fix this problem do not seem to apply to Windows 10.
