Windows 10: Unable to change the font in envelopes. Always stays in either Curls MT, Gigi, or Chiller...

Unable to change the font in in MS Word for envelopes. Always stays in either Curls MT, Gigi, or Chiller font. Not in Arial in which I set it for. I keep setting Arial in default, but always goes back. Tried using a template too. Frustrating!

I believe that the 'chiller' font is not a default font in Windows 10 (I recently installed the Windows 10 anniversary upgrade, btw) and that I must have installed it. It appears in the font drop-down menus in Word 2016
and in MS Paint.

But I cannot locate it neither in downloads nor in documents, or anyway else.

How can I locate it on my computer?

I found these steps in this forum from back in 2010:

Step 1:

I would suggest you to try these steps and check whether it helps in fixing your issue.

Open font settings by clicking on start, click on control panel, and then click on appearance and personalization, under fonts click on change font settings. And select the font size.

Step 2:

If you’re trying to change windows font size then please follow the steps below:

To change Windows fonts

1. Open Appearance Settings by clicking the Start button and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type window color, and then click Change window colors and
metrics.

2. In the Item list, click the part of Windows that you want to change the font for. For example, if you want to change the menu font, click Menu in the list. Then, make any of the following changes:

· In the Font list, click the font that you want to use.

· In the Size list, click the font size that you want.

· In the Color list, click the font color that you want.

3. Repeat these steps for each item that you want to make changes to, and then click OK.

Unable to change the fonts

I understand that the fonts settings do not retain after you set the them to your desired font type. In this case, I would suggest you to try the following methods and check if the issue persists.

Method 1:

Restore default font settings and then set to your desired font type.

a) Click Start button and search "fonts".

b) Click on Fonts.

c) In the fonts window, click on Fonts settings.

d) Click on Restore default font settings.

Reboot the system and then change the font type and check if the issue persists.

If the issue still exists, try the next method.

Method 2:

Try to run a System File Checker (SFC) scan to check for any file corruption.
SFC scan will scan for corrupt system files on the computer and repair them.

• Press Windows key + X, click Command Prompt (Admin).
• In the Command Prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
  
  sfc /scannow

If the issue still exists, try the next method.

Method 3:

You may check the same issue with the new user account.

Try these steps to create a new user account and check if it fixes the issue. Refer to the steps below to create a new User Account:

• Go to Settings.
• Choose Accounts and then select Other User Accounts towards the left.
• Select Add an Account.
• Enter a user name and hit Next.
• Click on Finish.
• Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
• Check if issue persists.
