Windows 10: Unable to connect android phone to windows 11 23H2 Laptop via USB cable

Dear TeamPlease do the needful my phone model is Redmi note 12 pro I am not able to connect with my laptop only showing charging.

the android device is not detected on my phone. Using Google's ADB CLI, I was unable to list my phone.

• The phones does not allow USB tethering (the option was disabled).
  
• Using developer mode on Android, with USB debugging turned on does not change anything
  
• There is no sound on my laptop when i connect the device
  
• The device (android) is still charged by the computer
  

Android devices:

• Oppo A1k
  

other phones are connecting.

Result:

• Not detected on device manager, my computer, ADB CLI,
  
• USB options do not appear for android (treating it as just a charger)

Driver Error code :

When Device is power on error code is 45
power off error code is 43.

 

Unable to connect android phone to windows 11 Computer

Before upgrading to Windows 11, connecting android phones my Windows laptop will be detected. Based on the options I choose on the phone (file transfer, PTP, charge only), I can get the utility needed.

Now, the android device is not detected on my phone. Using Google's ADB CLI, I was unable to list my phone.

• The phones does not allow USB tethering (the option was disabled).
  
• The connection charges (I tried with both USB C to USB C and USB A to USB C to connect the phones.
  
• Doesn't show up on edge://inspect
  
• Using developer mode on Android, with USB debugging turned on does not change anything
  
• There is no sound on my laptop when i connect the device
  
• The device (android) is still charged by the computer
  

I have updated all the USB drivers, installed wpdmtp.inf, updated to the latest Windows 11 OS.

Laptop: Lenovo Carbon x2 Extreme

Windows Build:





Android devices:

• OnePlus 7Pro
  
• Samsung A32
  

Tested:

• USB C to USB C
  
• USB C to USB A
  
• Different all different ports
  

Result:

• Not detected on device manager, my computer, ADB CLI, edge://inspect
  
• USB options do not appear for android (treating it as just a charger)

Regarding to your information I assume that you can't connect your Android Device.

Based on our tests on Windows 23h2, the OnePlus Ace2 model phone can connect properly to the computer.

However, based on the information available online, it seems that the Oppo A1K model may require a separate download of the USB

driver in order to connect properly to Windows. I recommend reaching out to Oppo to inquire if they still provide the relevant USB

driver for the Oppo A1K model.
