Windows 10: Unable to connect my Surface Pro to my PC Windows 11 via Miracast

Hello,I have tried several methods that were shown online but I cannot get my surface pro to connect to my pc. I bought a wifi adapter since I was unable to use miracast on my personal pc without one. Once I installed the wifi adapter, I was finally able to use the cast feature but still cannot project to the surface pro. Both my pc and surface pro are running windows 11 and have the latest updates. When I open the cast and connect to the surface pro, it says that my desktop is about to project but doesnt, and states the following "protected contect cant be viewed on this device".

Miracast on surface pro 3 and windows 10

Hi,

i tested the surface pro 3 at my home worh home wireless router and i m able to connect to my miracast end point.

same pc in another environment with same miracast end point, nonway to see even in wifi direct mode.

if i generate the mobile hotspot and connecr surface pro3 and miracast end point i notice that sueface pro 3 is bale to see miracast endpoint. If i connect surface pro 3 and endpoint without reboot the surface pro 3 is able again to see and connect wireless
dispaly via miracast infrastructure as well wifi direct.

 

How to connect Surface to Miracast device

I have a Surface Pro 1.0.

I had Windows 8.1 Pro installed on this PC. And I was able to project this PC to my TV that had a Belkin Miracast device on it. This worked great.

I recently upgraded this Surface to Windows 10 Pro. Since upgrading to Windows 10 Pro, I am no longer able to project my PC to my TV with the Miracast device.

I cannot even find a way to project my screen. When I press Windows Key + "P", there is only the standard extend, Pc only, etc...

If I go to Notify -> Connect, this never finds the Miracast device. Notify -> Connect -> Find Other Types of Device -> Add a Device, never finds my Miracast device.

How can I get my upgraded Windows 10 Pro -> Surface Pro 1.0 PC to project to a Miracast device on my TV?

 

What are the steps to use the miracast option smartphone to PC?

I was able to miracast my Android device to my windows 11 pc once, but when I tried to connect a second time, it won't connect to use the miracast option. Can someone please list the steps from start to finish to follow so that I'll be able to connect to a wireless display, project with this PC, and cast my android screen onto my windows 11 pc?
