Windows 10: Unable to Connect to Internet at Specific Time of Day

Happy Monday,

I'm pretty perplexed.


The problem:

One of our users loses internet access around 4pm CST. The first occurrence was Friday, and it happened again today Monday. Before ~4pm, everything is fine. The issue lasts at least 60 minutes but the exact length is unknown.The computer cannot connect to MS Exchange servers or any other sites on the internet.

Friday, the computer was unable to be pinged by any other computers on the network, and could not ping the network gateway.

Today, the computer was able to be pinged by other computers on the network and could also ping the network gateway including 8.8.8.8 - which is not on our network.

No other computers are running into this issue.


The environment:

Wired connection

Windows 10

DHCP is used


Trouble-shots taken:

Restarted the computer

Successfully pinged other network computers, gateway address, and 8.8.8.8 Google primary DNS.

Checked Group Policy Manager for any GPO's that may be causing the issue - found none.

When I log on the user's computer, I have the same issue - so it is profile independent.

No obvious environmental factors that could be causing this behavior - the two users nearby are unaffected and their cables run along the same physical path... but that doesn't prove non-existence.


My conclusions:

Since I can ping the computer, the physical cables, network adapter, adapter driver, and gateway should all be ok.

I don't think it's a DHCP issue either because I can ping the computer.


All the other computers can access the internet, and only this computer is affected.

Lost internet connection after upgrading to Windows 10.

after downloading windows 10, i had no internet wifi connections. tried almost everything from community.

I downloaded talent driver network software to an

external drive using another computer and then ran the set up on non internet computer. Wifi networks reappeared and I was able to get on the internet and download some apps but connects lost by the next day when turned on computer, Again unable to get
on internet and network adapters not listed. Talent driver software no longer effective.

tried INFO GROUND(/) STEP 1. NO CHANGED...no connections listed.

Unable to connect computer and printer to internet at the same time

I understand that you are unable to connect internet and wireless printer at the same time.



For better clarity, please let us know:

• Are you able to connect the printer when any one of the computers are not connected to the network?
  
• What is the version of Windows you are using? To check type: winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit Enter.
  
• What is the make and model of the printer?
  
• Are you getting any error messages when you connect the printer?
  

There could be a limitation of number of devices that can be connected to the router at any given point. You may want to check the limitations before proceeding.



However, I would suggest you to try running the Network Troubleshooter and check if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows Logo key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Update & Security and select
   Troubleshoot on the left pane.
   
3. Scroll down and look for Network Troubleshooter on the right pane.
   
4. Click on it and select Run the troubleshooter.
   
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Unable to connect to wireless internet connection on Windows 10

I understand that you are facing issues with accessing the internet connection on your device. Do not worry we will help you with this issue.

Provide us additional information to assist you better with this issue:

• What is the complete error message/ error code of this issue?
• What is the make and model of your device?
• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?
• Is this issue specific to wired/ wireless internet connection?

Try few of the below troubleshooting steps and check if you are able to access the internet connection on your device.

Step 1: Use Internet Connection Troubleshooter when the connection drops.

find and fix the problems with connecting to the internet or to websites.

• Click on Start; in the start search type
  Troubleshooter and hit Enter.
• In the left pane, click on View all.
• Click on Internet Connection Troubleshooter.
• Select Advance and click on
  Run as Administrator.
• Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

Step 2: Run Network Adapter troubleshooter

Network Adapter troubleshooter find and fix the problems with wireless and other Network Adapter.

• Click on Start; in the start search type
  Troubleshooter and hit Enter.
• In the left pane, click on View all.
• Click on Network Adapter Troubleshooter.
• Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

Step 3: I suggest you to update the Network Adapter drivers and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + x key on your keyboard.
• Select Device manager.
• Expand Network adapters. Right-click on the device and click
  Update driver software
• Restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
